About BIRD
Biomaz Infosearch Research and Development (BIRD) is broadly concerned with the development and application of state-of-the-art computational and theoretical techniques to investigate the structure, function, and dynamics of complex biological systems. At the interface of biology, chemistry, physics, and pharmacology, our research integrates both applied and basic science components, with goals to bridge the interface between basic and clinical research. Fundamental enzymological and drug discovery studies are tightly coupled to a wide range of biochemical and biophysical experiments that allow us to engage in dynamic and exciting collaborations with various experimental labs.
Research Focus

Computational drug design
We work on various in silico tool like docking to predict molecular binding, MD simulations to study dynamic interactions, and DFT to analyze electronic properties for drug optimization. These methods accelerate hit identification and lead optimization with high accuracy.

Microarray gene profiling
We leverage microarray data analysis to identify gene expression patterns, network analysis to uncover biological interactions, and epitope mapping to predict immune responses. These approaches provide deep insights into disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets.

Nanotherapeutics
We utilize nanoparticle-based drug delivery to enhance targeted treatment, improving drug stability and bioavailability. Various nanoparticle and biomaterial synthesis and enable precise tumor targeting while minimizing side effects.
